Steph Hsu

Strategic Ops Director

Operations and People

Steph joins the Common Future team as the Director of Strategic Operations with an eye for process and a heart for progress. Since graduating from Cornell University, she has been a facilitator of change from startups to city government. As a 2016 Venture for America Fellow, she moved to Baltimore, where she drew inspiration from the solidarity of cross-racial activism.

Prior to joining the Common Future team, Steph served as the Equity Coordinator for Baltimore’s economic development agency. She worked to raise consciousness and resources within the local ecosystem to address the disparities in economic opportunities for BIPOC entrepreneurs.

In 2018, Steph co-founded the Charm City Night Market, a network of APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) creatives celebrating the rich history of Baltimore’s APIDA communities through placekeeping activations.

When not working, you can find Steph tending to her 100+ houseplants, learning about native and tropical flora, and convincing her family and friends to stay over long enough for another meal.
