About Sean
Sean Campbell is helping organizations and businesses raise capital for investments that uplift and empower communities, especially those that historically have not been able to access investment capital on their own terms. Sean is working with Common Future network leaders and vetted social entrepreneurs to develop projects in their community into actionable direct investment opportunities. He engages at every step of the process, from initial conception to developing diligence materials, presenting opportunities to investors, and assisting in negotiations and closing.
Sean is also working with Common Future to structure and launch an integrated capital fund for equitable economic impact investment, and to develop new community-accountable investment structures and models to bring capital to entrepreneurs and existing local businesses. The goal is to offer community leaders capital access on fair, equitable, and accountable terms, and to offer investors and advisors deal flow, relationships with community ecosystem builders, and restorative investment opportunities that work financially.
Sean has 15 years of experience in investment management, most recently as a managing director in the principal investing group at Macquarie. Sean has made and managed equity investments and loans totaling over $500mm, and has invested in debt and equity in the public and private markets. He holds degrees from the University of Chicago and Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
