Olayinka Credle is an award-winning social impact entrepreneur and holistic health advocate who specializes in racial and economic justice. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Olayinka received her Bachelor’s in Sociology with a minor in Government/Political Affairs (Millersville University) and then went to D.C. to work in Congress (Office PA-14-Pittsburgh). What started out as a congressional office role has now shifted into Olayinka’s life mission to decrease the racial wealth gap in America through entrepreneurship, public policy, and community building.
In 2016, Olayinka co-founded social impact beauty brand Melanin Essentials. Melanin Essentials, was named the ASSETS 2016 Great Social Enterprise Pitch winner, finalist in Fast Company’s global “Faces of Founders” business competition, and more recently named a 2018 SVC Innovation Entrepreneur. In 2018, Olayinka became one of the founding members of Dismantle Collective, a person of color-led group of Certified B Corps to name, disrupt, and dismantle white supremacy and a political advocacy lead for WeTheChange, a womxn lead group of certified B Corporations and other purpose-driven enterprises.
On her spare time, you can find Olayinka writing, performing her spoken word and poetry or, watching scare prank compilation videos on YouTube for a good laugh. At home, she’s known as mommy to her three beautiful children and married to her best friend + love of her life.
