Vice President of Finance & Administration
Lenora Williams is a nonprofit fiscal strategist with more than 20 years of experience. She provides financial consultation to emerging and startup nonprofit organizations throughout the United States and NGOs in England, Sudan, Uganda, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia and Ghana. As a Chief Financial Officer, Budget and Finance Manager and Compliance Officer; to community based nonprofit organizations including multi-service agencies, community health partnerships, health clinics, global enterprises, and foundations, Ms. Williams works with a wide variety of funding streams ensuring financial growth and innovation in development. Previous projects include a $40 million budget for capital projects and successfully directed and managed operating budgets of up to $60 million while initiating and implementing audit controls and procedures.
A former Administrator for the City of Oakland, Ms. Williams led the city to adopt streamlined database systems, accounting procedures, and tracking systems for positive management outcomes. She has helped write voter ballot initiatives to protect open space and parks in the City of Oakland. Ms. Williams’ humanitarian interests include serving as a United Nations Association-USA Director and Delegate to the United Nations for Human Rights for girls and women. She dedicates herself to projects supporting social enterprise development and projects providing education for girls in African countries to end childhood marriage. Locally, she advocates for African American women with breast cancer through a Stanford University Think Tank and has co-authored published material in support of this effort
