Kassandra is driven by empowering and engaging communities, crafting compelling narratives, and uplifting stories you should know about. She works to inspire action, spark new ways of thinking, and keep the engine running for those who need a solid vehicle for their visions. Her fervor to put word to action and action to word has led her from composing voter guides to writing talking points for elected officials on both the West and East Coasts, to developing communications strategies for social impact organizations and for-profit local and global businesses.
Prior to moving back to her hometown, Oakland, she had the fortune to work for the community she first put roots down in outside of the West Coast: East Flatbush in Brooklyn, New York — where she worked for the New York State Senate and with local community organizations. She’s consulted local and national organizations and businesses as an independent consultant with various public relations firms — wherein she found her passion to advocate for inclusive economies revved up by working with Bay Area new economy leaders spread across diverse fields of practice.
Kassandra holds a B.A. in Media Studies from the City College of New York (CUNY).
