About Smith

Smith, a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, is the Board Chair and former CEO of FirstBank Southwest. He has been a community leader involved with many local and nationwide organizations. Smith is a board member of the United Way of Amarillo/Canyon and is a member of the Governing Board. He has served as the Treasurer for the Harrington Cancer & Health Foundation and Finance Committee Chair for the Amarillo Hospital District Board of Managers. He has also served on the Amarillo Hispanic Chamber Advisory Board. Smith is partnered with the Amarillo Area Foundation and helps represent the collaborative efforts of these organizations in the BALLE Community Foundation Circle.
