About Scott

Scott joined the Southwest Initiative Foundation in 2007 and is engaged in its economic development programs including business finance, entrepreneurship, and general economic development, in addition to serving as lead staff to the Investment Committee. Prior to joining the Foundation, Scott was Economic Development Director for the City of Montevideo, Minnesota, where he managed economic development projects and programs related to business retention and expansion, housing, business recruitment, community marketing, business finance, commercial building rehabilitation, and other special projects. Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofits Assistance Fund, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based in Minneapolis, in addition to serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership.
