About Sarah

Sarah oversees the Arkansas Community Foundation’s grantmaking, affiliate system, impact investing and community partnerships. Previously, she led the Foundation’s communications department, where her work has received three Prism awards from the Public Relations Society of America – Arkansas chapter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and a master’s degree in professional and technical writing from UALR. She earned the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential in 2012. Previously, she worked on the staff of the Arkansas Literary Festival and as a composition instructor at UALR. A true native Arkansan, Sarah lived in Jonesboro, Fayetteville, Conway, Benton and Prescott all before the age of 18. In addition to her work at the Community Foundation, Sarah is also a freelance writer and editor and founding member and co-chair of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network – Little Rock chapter.
