About Jeffrey

Jeffrey McCurdy is a Board member (2012-Present), the Investment Chair (2012-Present) and one of the leaders developing the impact strategy of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with investment assets of approximately $400 million. He is also the Founder and Principal of Guardsman Private Capital Management, a boutique investment advisory firm based out of Sarasota, Florida. Before founding Guardsman, Jeff was the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer of a private investment firm and served in a corporate finance capacity for AlliedSignal, where he concentrated on mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and business development. Earlier in his career, Jeff served for eight years as an officer and rotary- and fixed-wing aviator in the U.S. Army, including service in the Gulf War. Mr. McCurdy earned an MBA from Duke University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
