About Jamee

A self-described Localist, Executive Director and co-founder of Lowcountry Local First Jamee Haley has been at the helm of Lowcountry Local First since inception in 2007. LLF is a non-profit based out of Charleston, SC with the mission to cultivate an economy anchored in local ownership, because local-independent businesses are the foundation of our culture, economy and character. Since 2007, Jamee has been responsible for creating a movement around supporting local businesses by working with municipalities to adopt policies that level the playing field for these businesses, and launched initiatives that fill the gap in our business ecosystem including, Good Farming to support and train new farmers, affordable and collaborative coworking at Local Works, and Good Enterprises which provides technical training and resources to under served entrepreneurs.
