About Christine

Christine is Executive Director of YES! Media, publisher of YES! Magazine (print and online). YES! Media is a nonprofit, independent publisher of solutions journalism. Through rigorous reporting on the positive ways communities are responding to social problems and insightful commentary that sparks constructive discourse, YES! inspires people to build a just, sustainable, and compassionate world. Prior to joining YES! in 2017, Christine founded and co-directed Seattle Good Business Network, a non-profit that connects and inspires people to buy, produce and invest locally, through programs like Think Local, Seattle Made, and Community Capital. From 2002-2008, she was managing director at Sightline Institute, a Seattle-based sustainability think tank. Christine has degrees in economics and business from the University of Virginia and the University of Washington. She served on Seattle’s Economic Development Commission, is a Local Economy Fellow of Common Future, and organizer of the People’s Economy Lab in Seattle.
