About Chancee
Chancee is the executive director of the Los Angeles Thai Community Development Center. Her experiences leading to the founding of Thai CDC include work as a planner, a congressional aide, and work with other legislative offices. She is also known for creating and teaching the first Thai-American Experience course at UCLA, conducting the landmark needs assessment of the Thai community, co-authoring publications on Asian poverty, community economic development, and economic disparity in inner city Los Angeles, and leading the campaign to designate Thai Town in Los Angeles. She is a spokesperson against human trafficking and modern-day slavery and a leading community development practitioner. Dedicated to social and economic justice, she actively serves on a number of community, immigrant, and labor rights organizations, and has received numerous awards and honors. She received her BA and MA from UCLA. Born in Thailand, she currently resides in Los Angeles.
