About Amy

Amy is passionate about business sustainability. For 15 years she has worked as a researcher, trainer and consultant in sustainable procurement, waste management, and greenhouse gas management with some of Vancouver’s best-known business sustainability programs. She works to build community and partnerships to move sustainability deep into businesses. She founded LOCO BC to engage local businesses in building an economy based on relationships and self-reliance. Her bias for local is based on the principles of sustainability – that local businesses enhance our community, connect and support us, and enhance wealth and employment by circulating dollars many times between businesses.
