About Amanda
Amanda joined the Main Street Alliance as Director in the fall of 2013, bringing more than a decade of progressive organizing, policy, and legal experience to the position. The Main Street Alliance is the voice for small business values in the United States focused on policies that level the playing field so small business can be creators of good jobs in our communities. She had previously worked as a community organizer for several international trade, media policy, and social justice organizations – including Public Citizen, Free Press, the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy, and The Nation – crafting national grassroots mobilization and education and rapid-response strategies. She has also worked as a labor organizer and policy analyst for CWA and SEIU. Amanda graduated from Smith College and earned her law degree from the University of Washington School of Law.
